Virgil Abloh x IKEA "KEEP OFF" Rug 200x300 CM Grey/White

After rumors as early as summer 2017, Virgil Abloh's first collaborative piece with IKEA has finally been released.
As part of IKEA’s fifth annual IKEA Art Event, where the company calls on multidisciplinary artists to commission furniture, Virgil has been chosen to design one of eight rugs being launched for the event.
The rug features a Persian rug with the words "KEEP OFF" in Virgil's signature quotation marks and was designed to represent the ironic nature of an overbearing father protecting his furniture.
In the article he is quoted as saying: “I wanted an ironic take on the traditional attitude towards furniture where the living room is just a showroom, not a place to sit.” The rug was launched on Friday 10 May 2019.
