The Nike Air Max 1 '87 Premium University of Oregon PE (2024) is a limited release sneaker that celebrates the student-athletes of the University of Oregon and is designed in collaboration with Ducks of a Feather, a sports equipment company inspired by the contributions of U of O athletes.

The University of Oregon PE (2024) version of the Nike Air Max 1'87 features an iridescent textile upper in Brown on the toe box and Green on the collar. Perforated tan leather overlays adorn the quarter panel, while white and grey leopard print accents the eyestays. Beige suede makes up the mudguard and speckled brown suede makes up the heel counter. The blue side panel Nike Swoosh is echoed by a miniature Swoosh embroidered on the lateral toe box. An off-white Phylon midsole houses the visible Air unit and rests atop a tan and off-white rubber outsole.

What we find most charming about these sneakers is the gold embroidered motto on the heel tabs. One heel tab reads ONCE A DUCK and the other ALWAYS A DUCK. The Nike Air Max 1 '87 Premium University of Oregon PE (2024) released for a retail price of $220 on March 26, 2024.
