Legendary skater and sneakerhead Eric Koston brings back UNC nostalgia with the Nike SB Air Jordan 1 Low “UNC,” available now. This sneaker takes inspiration from a classic Air Jordan 1 High model that originally released in 1985. The original design featured University Blue overlays, a color made famous by Jordan’s alma mater, the University of North Carolina. This historic colorway combined with the skate communities’ long history of love for the Jordan 1 made this a no-brainer collaboration.
Like many basketball sneakers that became SBs, these AJ 1s feature upgraded technology, including the Nike SB Zoom insole in the heel for comfort while skating. This low-top sneaker has a white leather upper with dark blue overlays and Swoosh. A white midsole, blue outsole, and Nike SB branding on the tongue and insoles complete the design. These sneakers released in August 2019 and retailed for $110.
