While the ASICS GEL-Kayano 14 Cream Sweet Pink’s mesh construction—including the network of synthetic leather overlays and mesh underlays—pays homage to early 2000s GEL-Kayano models, the use of bright metallic silver gives the shoe a futuristic update. Additionally, sweet pink detailing adds pops of color on the midsole pods, ASICS branding, and rubber outsole. Toshikazu Kayano did not design this version of the GEL-Kayano; however, the shoe still maintains its iconic layered construction and underfoot GEL technology.
