The ASICS Gel-1130 Tuna Blue combines elements from decades of innovative ASICS designs. This technical running shoe is inspired by the ninth iteration of the GEL-1000 and stability running shoes from the early 2000s, including the Gel-Kayano 14.
In the ASICS Gel-1130 Tuna Blue, instead of genuine leather, the overlays over the white mesh upper are made from synthetic leather. This gives the shoe a contemporary feel and allows the metallic silver tones to catch the light. The overlays feature a deep Tuna Blue hue with black outlines, while the thick white midsole matches the color of the mesh base. Padding around the thick collar protects the ankle, and the front lace-up closure system secures the shoe.
