The voice of the fans is heard in the latest collaboration between Bad Bunny, Leo Messi and adidas Originals

Lionel Messi and Bad Bunny are among the most important people of the 21st century, racking up the greatest achievements and raising the standards of excellence and performance in their respective fields. But the impact of their contributions goes beyond golden goals and sold-out tours; their global influence has allowed them to put their home countries on the map, spreading a sense of national pride among their peoples as they see one of their own carry their flags on their backs.

In this latest ad from adidas Originals, the brand uses La Voz De Los Fans as a key backdrop for this featurette featuring the two greats. A fan letter is narrated throughout the video as Bad Bunny and Messi read a myriad of heartfelt fan letters addressed to each other; it’s hard not to see the emotion on their faces as the people of Puerto Rico and Argentina express their love and support.

“This campaign celebrates our fans. Seeing people following and supporting me not only inspires me, it makes me feel very grateful. I always try to give everything I have on the pitch, so it’s great to see that there are people who value that effort and always support me, even in bad times,” said Lionel Messi. Bad Bunny adds: “The surname Messi has become a word of its own, a synonym for greatness, courage and heart.”

To celebrate the voice of the fans, adidas Originals launches a historic collaboration that pays homage to Lionel Messi and Bad Bunny. Included in this upcoming collection are the adidas Gazelle Indoor and the F50, both featuring colors and details inspired by archival pieces from the adidas catalog, while Leo and Bunny’s real-life signatures appear on the upper stripes of the shoes.

Both pairs are available to pre-order now on the adidas Confirmed app, with a global release confirmed for October 26, 2024.
